Is there any reason the hammered retail for $50 more than the regular? I'm semi hoping I had ordered a regular damascus

Am I the only one who sits and constantly refreshes the tracking info when they order a new knife?

COME ON!!!!! I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!!! DELIVER!!!!

Haha. The package is so close, I'm getting jittery, I really wanted to take this to work today.

Yeah I do the same thing, even though it says what day it is expected to be delivered and only rarely comes before that day.

As I mentioned before that after I missed this knife the first go round I was checking the site almost everyday to see if it had come back into stock. I hope this baby is as good as I am expecting it to be.

Mine is supposed to come today, it was last scanned about 9am just an hour away from where it will be delivered. Yeah, I'm obsessed I guess. I did get the Gassan Nakiri on forum special an entire day early from USPS though. I have found Fedex to consistently be a day late on delivery, however.

I second the feeling on expectation. All the hype around this knife can't be just hot air though.

Yeah, I do that too. There was one day a couple years ago when I was waiting for a knife from FedEx (not ordered from here). It went out for delivery at 7:30 AM from the next town over. I kept checking all day. Nothing. Got home, still nothing. At about 7:00 PM it switched estimated delivery date to the next day, and listed as back at the distribution center again! That drove me crazy!

I find they usually do a good job delivering when they say they will. My Goko just got dropped off a couple hours ago. I wish you luck with yours.
