getting present for my chef father.

I'm looking to get a gift for my dad, whos a chef. I want to get him a gyuto, 240mm or 270mm. Price isn't an issue, as its a christmas gift and I want to get him something great.
I don't really know much about knives though. He sharpens his own now, and they're always sharp, so I'm guessing that you can take it that he can sharpen well. At the moment he uses a Wusthof chefs knife.
Would you be able to make me a few recommendations of chefs knives/gyutos that I should look into please?
I want the best; the knife that you would choose if you were getting one, money not an issue please :)

"SON" <> So difficult to buy another a knife, as you never know their style. Mark is great on returns so swapping it out if it's not liked is easy! ;)

He uses a Wusthof so he's used to a Western grip. Mark's suggestion is really cool as it's a crossover type grip that your Pop might really dig. Especially if he uses the Grand Prix II which has a parallel in the handle shape.

If you wanted to get him a wa-handled ("Japanese style") knife, I'D BE ALL OVER THE BLACK STEEL!

Money no object....probably either one of the gyuto's from Butch Harner (larger handles FYI) or one of the Konosuke's that Mark linked to.
