Buddy of mine sends me a text, "Will you smoke the fish I caught?"

I reply, "Sure, just bring it by."

He does, and as I was busy when he arrived, security accepted his delivery. Later, I go to grab the fish, and I reckon he needs some knives sharpened, as well, cuz there sure were a lot of them on top of the cooler. :?

Well, at least you have collateral to bargain with vs. compensation

So, now you have all his knives and his fish that you smoked. What's it worth to him to get them back?

I found this to be...hilarious. Also, I could eat that entire fish. How did you smoke it?

Christ Mel, the fish would be a easy six pack but the knives might be looking at whiskey or bourbon. At lesat that would be the going rate with my friends. Money doesn't work for us as liquor is the going currency. Hope he's a good dude and will make it worth your while.

The smoked fish looks way better than the knives......

Yeah, a true friend would compensate you without having to be reminded....

:)
