Has anyone used the EZE Sharpener before? It seems more suited to kitchen knife than other brands in the market.

I know of eze-lap diamond hones but not sure of the sharpener your referring to.

Here is the US dealer's website: http://ezesharp.com/eze-sharp-the-blade-sharpener.html
The kit is made in Australia.

Reminds me of the KME sharpener, it's also expensive. If your into guided sharpening though it does seem like a well built clamp.

Looks like a nice piece of kit.
My immediate observation is that changing to a different stone in your progression without purchasing a stone frame for each would be cumbersome.
I'm pleased with my Edge Pro, although it has its own set of bugaboos. If I had not already purchased the Edge Pro I would investigate this item more. Knowing what I know now I might just build my own guided system.

Looks like a $300 piece of garbage to me.

Someone managed to combine the EP arm and the EZE frame together: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showt ... harp/page2

I just bought one of these, haven't had much time to use it but yet but on my first attempts I got pretty good results.
