I was wondering if any knows if the drawer knife trays, like this one,http://www.chefknivestogo.com/meindrknho.html
, can accommodate a 270 or even 300mm blade with a 5 inch handle?
ps Apparently my work blocks whatever the formatting buttons do, sorry about the address not being a link.

EC - I have a very similar knife tray only wider - like 9" wide to hold more knives. As long as you have additional drawer space behind the tray, you should be fine. I cut a piece of grippy shelf liner for my knife drawer and have the tray on top of that. I also cut a cardboard spacer to fit between the back of the tray and the back of the drawer to keep it from sliding rear-ward. This should keep your knife tips from hitting the back of the drawer. A 270 should be no problem at all - you'll have to carefully measure for a 300mm if you don't already have one to test out. I have a couple of inches of extra space behind the tray in my cabinet drawer.
