Do Choseras fit in the shapton pro boxes you sell?

Sat Nov 30, 2013 3:15 pm

Hello Mark,
I do have a few Chosera stones and wonder if they fit in the shapton boxes you
offer. Would the 10,000 grit stone fit in on of the boxes?
It would be hlepful if you could add the size in the descripton part.

Best regards,

Kai-Uwe

No they don't fit. Shapton pros are about 17 mm thick, Choceras up to 10k are 25 mm and the 10k is 30 mm thick. So whatever the length and width, the thickness measurements rule out a fit.

Ken is right. They don't fit.

I have considered making similar boxes for larger knives but plastic companies want you to buy a shit load and I just don't think there is enough demand for them. I still may give it a try in the future if I get bored.

However, Naniwa Superstones fit perfectly.

I should put that in the copy for the stone boxes that we occasionally sell after we cut up shapton pros for the edge pro.

Mark, I tested this for another forum member and you can fit two Shapton GS stones in the Shapton Pro box. Not two of the extra thick 500 GS's though. Probably one of those.

I'll put the glass stones in the copy too.
