Damascus hunting/utility knife

Sat Jun 16, 2012 1:06 am

Something a little different! I got some blanks a few months ago and couldn't find them for a while. Well, I found them today and decided to build one up since I've been doing kitchen knives like crazy lately; I needed a break!! 3" Damascus blade (1095 and 15N20), Stabilized Maple Burl and 2 different mosaic pin patterns (Nickel silver and brass on the end 2 and Copper and Nickel silver in the middle), 4.5" long handle. For a utility/hunting style belt knife, I really like a 3" blade for some reason and a bigger handle. The blade is made by Two Fingers Knife in Idaho; I've used several Damascus blanks from them and one 52100 blank and they have all been very nice.

Some really nice grain in this wood! Good thing I got a big block of it; I have enough for another knife with this wood and maybe a second smaller knife!
