I have his 165mm Nakiri, and the 300mm Yanagiba, and I couldn't be more pleased, even right out of the box.
Having said that, I am both an abject noobie, and an amateur kitchen person, but with lots of experience since I'm an old guy.
ETA: Every time I use the nakiri, I get a big grin on my face, and the yanagiba and I are still learning about each other, but if my sashimi is not beautifully sliced ... it isn't the knife which is the problem.
