I personally love forcing a patina. What are some techniques that you guys and girls use out there? I have used bubble wrap, paper towels, and a painting brush... Any other cool ideas on forcing a patina...
What do you all use?? I have always used a combination of mustard and vinegar... Any other neat ideas?

Something I want to try next time is adding coffee grinds to the vinegar; it's supposed to make a really dark brown patina that you can create cool patterns with.

I think Aaron did a cool one with banana. Any acid will usually react so red meat/blood makes a good one too. I have a pineapple at home that I was going to play with tomorrow on a addict 52100. I'll show a picture.
I'm not sure if you guys think this is a good idea but I was thinking of offering forced patinas as an option on my Addict and Artifex carbons. Not sure if people would go for it but I would be happy to do it for free.

I think people would really like it...

I think it would be best to let people do their own forced patinas. If they see a picture of a patina and it doesn't turn out that why they might not be satisfied. It would be best to give ideas on how to do a patina and maybe a video or two too demonstrate and let them decide how to go about it themselves.

I agree with Jeff B, but at the same time some people like it when things are unique and not worried about it being exact.
I cut some pineapple with my new Hiromoto AS and it definitely got the patina started on the edge. I didn't leave the juice on it for an extended period though. Might be cool to push the entire edge all the way in and let it sit for a while and see how it comes out.

I forced a patina one the Richmond AS Laser with piping hot lemon juice and vinegar.

Did you soak a rag with it and leave it on or just pour it on?

I soaked a thick microfiber towel and left it on for about 10mins

I did one with bananas. For everyone's sake, I won't repost the crappy iphone pics...they're in the photos section under patinas i believe.
