We have a massive amount of Edge Pro products so we figured it would be good to have a whole section on how to use the machine and what to use on it.

I'm still wondering how that rod got tweaked. It's pretty staunch. Did it display any radial runout (maybe not the perfect term but what comes to mind) when rolled along a flat surface?

I didn't take off the pins that hold the stone holder on the arm to check but I should.
In the Pro case there is a hole that the rod end fits into. If you reverse the rod it's a leeeettle too long for the case and it fits diagonally so the fit is important.
The only way I can think of is that when I was putting the rod into the case I didn't put the rod end into
the hole it's supposed to go in which put just some pressure on the rod ends which could have deformed it.
IIRC it was a difference of approx .25° - 75°.
When I received the new one, the readings were the same all along the rod.
I still hope someone-listening Mark?- comes up with Mad Rookies modified pivot but it's worth checking the straightness of the rod.

Oohhhhhhh well , I just put the "convexed" edge under the 400x Veho and uuhhhhh.............it's a flat bevel.
Looked like a convex reflection by eye but the truth is in the microscope.
Damn!!!!! It made sense in theory......maybe it was just the voices whispering to me again

Even though I don't I always like what I see, this is why I like magnification - "the truth is in the microscope"
