I purchased the 240mm Artifex with the wide blade and am very pleased. Some initial observations: vegetable prep is a breeze and the wide blade is a real bonus. The steel is very easy to clean. It may not be the "sharpest tool in the shed" OOB, but it is plenty sharp to glide through vegetables (and draw blood as I found out).
In comparison, the 240mm Tojiro DP is a heavier knife and I find the handle kind of clunky (large), if not a bit uncomfortable.
Bottom line, the Artifex is a joy to use for food prep. And, because of the price, I'm not concerned about dinging up a piece of art (as would be the case with many of the high end Japanese knives on the market)!
