First, I would like to say that I am very pleased with my recent purchase from your website.
I am interested in also purchasing a cleaver. I am looking for something fairly large that will be used primarily for cutting vegetables but could potentially be used for cutting to cut through meat and bones (if possible). Could you recommend any cleavers that offer performance at a reasonable cost?

If you want to do veggies and bones you need a cleaver that can handle bones. The veggies won't matter to a thick and heavy duty cleaver where the bones will matter very much to a thin veggie cleaver.
So, I recommend you get the CCK bone chopper. I think that will work well for you.

Thanks for the reply. Do you find it difficult to handle the heavier bone chopper when chopping a high volume of veggies? Also, would the richmond artifex cleaver be recommended for chopping bones.

Yes, if it were me and I was cutting a lot of veggies I would get a thin veggie cleaver and use it most of the time.
Then, I would get a thick bone chopper for rough work and bones.
You're asking for trouble if you get a thin cleaver and then chop bones with it.

Yeah, I'd get a good, thin veggie cleaver (will also cut meat, but not bone) and then get an inexpensive bone chopper like the CCK.

I think that's the first time I've ever heard you comment on a cleaver without expressing your distaste for them Adam.
