I’m not sure how sharp these come from the factory, but how much would the edge be improved if I were to have you sharpen it before it was shipped to me?
Also, I know this is difficult to answer due to all of the variables involved, but I’ll ask anyway; with the CCK cleaver, if I were to take care of the edge (only use on wood or plastic cutting boards) and use it minimally (1-2 times per week/household use) how often should I need to touch up the edge? I have been using ceramic stones to sharpen my other knives and I typically do not let them get too dull before I sharpen…

They're usually pretty sharp and since they don't hold an edge particularly well I think paying us to improve the factory edge is kind of a waste of money, especially if you can sharpen.
This question is common and very difficult to answer. It depends on use habits, what you cut and what surface you cut on. My guess would be every 2 weeks for quick touch ups and every month for full sharpening.
