Boostfed - Thanks for the comments. The CF is not epoxied coated but epoxy is used to glue it to the handle. Yes Cf is very expensive like you said. That's probably why you don't see it very often on kitchen knives. Add to the fact that it's probably over built for the purposes of a kitchen knife handle. But I like the stuff!

Hap40 240mm Gyuto. I knew I was going to really like unidirectional carbon fiber! Took me too long to finally buy some. Unidirectional Carbon Fiber scales, Yellow ctek liners, Brass bolts. I'm going to make one with green or blue ctek next.

I'm picky as hell, and judgmental as hell. I have to say: I think you have great taste. Regardless of how I feel about any of these handles for me, I have to admit that they pair wonderfully with all of the knives in question. Really, really admirable work! And I have to add, if I'm willing to use an expensive, "overkill" knife for my humble home cooking, I'm also willing to use an expensive handle to hold it with, regardless of how beautiful either of them are. I look forward to the day when I can splurge. :)
