Hi,

I bought a honesuki about a year ago i think it is from the tajiro dp line. i used it for a while and then i stopped because i am left handed and i also damaged the tip. i was wondering if you knew of someone with a reasonable price that can switch it over to a left handed knife for me.

thanks,

Brad

I don't think it's possible to change the grind on it. Maybe I'm wrong but it seems like an impossible task.

If it wasn't a clad knife, the chances of succeeding would be better. As it is, though, with it being clad I wouldn't try it with any hope of it working. If it did....great.....but doubtful.

Nope. It's clad and a single bevel. There wouldn't be any steel left after regrinding it pretty much.

Rare, but I think we can all agree on this issue.

I happen to have the same knife. Tojiro DP 150mm honesuki. You could change the edge bevel, but the blade has a flat surface on the left face and a curved surface on the right face, and this could not be changed.
