Brittish Columbia sharpening

Tue Apr 09, 2013 9:23 pm

Hey all, I just did a re-handle for a gentleman in Victoria and the knife arrived to the customer with a bent tip. It is a reasonably small bend, about 1/8th an inch.

Does anyone have any beta on a good sharpener in that area? I can probably do it myself, but really don't want to have to ship the knife back and forth across the boarder again.

LMK if you have any contacts, or if any members here are capable of taking it on.

Thanks, Matt

I think Pete "sailor" is from that area, I might be wrong though. Let me ask him.

I'm pretty sure that Pete is on the east coast.

There is a place in Kelowna BC that sharpens, it's in the same province at least.
PM me if interested.

I know the place. Thanks, that was going to be my next option.

These two are in Vancouver, Santoku and Sharpening House.

With repair, I would probably pick Santoku over Sharpening House.

I had someone call me the other day and asked if I was Santoku.... Maybe they were looking for these guys...
