I stumbled across these dudes last night. Apparently they had a blurb in Southern Living about them recently.http://www.bloodrootblades.com/
They seem to be big on the "upcycling" thing. It looks like they use a lot of reclaimed tool steel ( old sawmill blades etc) for forging their blades. They also do a super cool laminate handle made from old coffee sacks.
I'd like to try some of their knives. Budget presently prevents that, though.
Just thought I'd share with y'all since they're 100 miles from my house and I've never heard of them until now.
