I've been using the Tojiro ITK bread knife for a watermelon knife, but for $50, I may have to get one of these, too

Who cares?? It's 13.5" blade, gonna suck to sharpen anyway!
I'm guessing the MV steel like in the bread knife?

Eh, I'm a free hander! I have a Tojiro 330mm gyuto before they switched to VG-10 and it takes a while to sharpen it! That's what I used to use for watermelon before I got the ITK BRead Knife. Now I peel the watermelon with the bread knife, then slice it and cube it.
