I mrean etiher knives between takeda large clad nakri or the richmond kohestu 210 gyuto are both great and they both have AS steel so longer edge retention and stays sharper longer. I will prob get both of them, but if I have to get one I prob go with the Taekda in this case otherwise I would stick to a gyuto.

guys what do you think about the richmond laser 210 gyuto vs the kohestu 210

Both are thin, laser style knives. Richmond is mono steel AEB-L stainless. Kohetsu is stainless clad AS carbon core.
My issues w/the Laser 210 are that it's undersized at 200mm on the edge and its only 42-43mm tall. The Kohetsu is a little taller and also 215 on the edge - I feel it's a more useful and versatile size. If we're talking AEB-L Laser, I'd recommend the 240 version.
Now if you're talking the Richmond AS Laser 210 - totally different story. I like the AS Laser 210 over the Kohetsu for the nicer grinds, great distal taper, taller height, etc.
