I would love to see some carbon steel Artifex, whether clad or not doesn't really make a difference!! I greatly prefer carbon blades!

Mark, a stainless AS blade would be hugely popular. I'm sure you know that already!

Uggh,

They want me to purchase 500 pounds for the first order....

That's a lot of knives. I'm going to have to summon some cahones to do this. :)

Sounds like the beginnings to a new line of Richmond knives. Or at least every Richmond knife offered in AS.

Well, you got your wish, now order it!!! LOL.

Will they let you mix the 500#, say like 100# for ZDP-189 clad with Stainless, 300# AS clad with Stainless, etc? Or do a total of 500#, but have them stagger the order, like 200-300# for the first part, then do the rest in another month or two?

It would have to be about 500 knives with the same steel.

I'm doing it. I know there will be demand for aogami super clad. I'll just do 4-5 different knife sizes, say 150mm petty, 170mm Nakiri, 210mm gyuto, 240mm gyuto. Maybe I'll add the Ultimatum as well or the Addict or both.

Once I get rolling with these guys I'll be able to do all kinds of different stuff.

Whoa, that is a ton of steel to just use for core steel. 500 lbs is a lot more than 500 knives!
