Hey, I just picked this knife up and I think it would make a good addition to the Artifex lineup:http://www.chefknivestogo.com/mabukn24.html

That's an interesting knife shape....reminds me a lot of the Old Hickory butcher knife shape:http://www.acehardware.com/product/inde ... agpspn=pla
Should make a version of that one, it seems to be the hot knife right now.

looks like a smaller version of the masahiro tuna fillet knife. looks good. i like it. =D
the okc butcher knife is good as well.... a 8-10inch version would be ideal

Mark, if your serious I will wait to get it in AEB-L. How much flex does that masahiro knife have? and would your recommend it if you don't decide to make it for the Artifex line?

I would like this knife in a higher quality than the artifex line. I wouldnt mind the higher price point for a better overal knife

How can you be "pretty sure?" Many Japanese makers do similar wide fillets. For example, Masamoto has one in their CN series.

I believe, my memory is fading in my old age, it was a Masahiro that Mark used to sell.
