I'll try a #30 bit I usually chuck a piece of rod in a drill and take it down with sandpaper. I chamfer the ends too to avoid blowout.

I tried a #30 in a piece of scrap, but it seemed loose. I turn the pics down to fit the hole. Ebony is not that bad to work with. I've used pieces that were brittle, but this was not so much it cam from Mark at Burl Source. If you are pushing pins through chamfer the ends well to avoid blowout in the exit piece.

Nice looking handle. I love the color, and you got plenty of grain.
Great way to upgrade an inexpensive bread knife to the Bling Bling!
