I hear you on getting something else for variety. One of the front runners prior to me purchasing the Anryu was the 240 Yuki.

I also plan on some other knife styles as well.

Overall, I am very pleased with the Anryu in both aesthetics and function.

I'll second rayong. I shouldn't, though: after my first Kono, I bought another, and then another...and now it is hard to kick the habit!

But with many knives – the Anryu certainly included – the differences between the 210 and 240 seem to go far beyond length (I don't own either! this is based on forum speak). I think of these as a lot like the Kohetsu AS line: the 210 and 240 actually feel like rather different animals in many respects that go beyond length alone. If I remember correctly, some of this was already raised in your earlier post (when trying to decide what to buy), so I won't dwell on it here. But you may ask the forum what knife to buy if you want the feel and performance of the 210 Anyru in a 240 size...there's a decent chance that the answer will not be the 240 Anyru, but something with a slightly more neutral feel/balance and perhaps a slightly thinner grind.
