Hey all. Well, another day off so to relax did some polishing. Same progression as the last just used a different powder to do final polish. Enjoy.

Hey Aaron, what do you use to polish? And what method do you employ?

I can only think of that traditional Japanese way that sword makers used with Katanas- They have a little thumb-sized clay piece that works up a slurry as they move up and down the blade with little circular movements.

All was done on stones. Since I wasn't thinning started with shapton pro 2, shapton pro 5k, Ohira renge suita, Hakka and last stone was Wakasa. Then finger stones. Uchigumori for soft steel, then Narutaki finger stones to use on core and cutting edge, and finally basically a very fine form of rust powder mixed with mineral (can use blade oil also) and rubbed. (head knife by pouring almost boiling water over it first then dry then got to rubbing. I also changed directions on the blade road also. Before 5k polishing was done on 45 degree angle, then next two stones where done straight up and down. And last 2 here from side to side traditional sword polishing. Hope this helps
