I just exchanged emails with Mark and he said that his wild guess for the Anryu 240 would be the next 4 weeks. Decisions, decisions.....Yuki now or Anryu in maybe 4 weeks. You know, I like these kinds of decisions. But then maybe I don't.

Is the Yuki a close or distant second choice. If close, get it. If distant, wait for the Anyru.

Personally, I own the Anryu, and love it. My favorite knife. I would not hesitate for a second to pick up the Yuki.
Like Jeff said, if it is a close contest, get what you can now. If the Anryu is just your soulmate, then get the Yuki anyway, then get the Anryu when it gets here

Totoro - IMO the Yuki is very close to the Anryu. Just used my Yuki 210 last evening. Damn that SOB is awesome! I need to pull it out more often

I have both the Anryu and the Yuki.Both are great choices and which ever 1 you choose you will be a happy camper! The Yuki is in stock so you can have it in two days, the out of stock Anryu can take awhile depending when they are shipped. Buy the Yuki now and order the Anryu when it becomes available. They each have their own personality!

Thanks to all for your comments and recommendations. Over the weekend, I placed an order for both the Masakage Yuki 240 and the Anryu Hammered 210. I was originally looking for a 210 but many on the forum favored/suggested the 240. I used my equivalent western style knives in the last few days (a 10" Sabatier chef that I rarely use and 8" Lamson Sharp chef that I normally use) and couldn't decide which I preferred so decided to try a 210 and 240 from the makers that resonated with me. Can't wait to put them to use.

Congrats on your ordering both knives. As I mentioned I have the Anryu 240 and the Yuki 210. You are going to enjoy working with both of them. I used the Anryu last night to prep dinner, it holds a great edge and is easy to maintain it!
