I am looking to purchase a few more stones to supplement my sharpening at home. Currently I have a King 800 grit and 4000 grit stone and need more of a mid and high grit range for my knives. Do you have any recommendations for stones? I am planning to order the Tojiro Professionals 2 pc set, and have the CCK 1303 cleaver currently. Thanks for your time.

If I were building around the 2 stones you have, my first recommendation would be the 5000 Suehiro Rika.http://www.chefknivestogo.com/suri50grst.html
My next choice would be Beston 500.http://www.chefknivestogo.com/beston500.html
My final choice if you want to keep going would be the Green Brick:http://www.chefknivestogo.com/naao2kgrbr.html

Yes please feel free to post the correspondence. Thank you for the suggestions. As the Green Brick is currently out of stock, are there any alternatives you might recommend for other midrange stones? Thanks again.

The Green Brick will be back in stock on Monday. Another good one in that range is the Chosera 2K.http://www.chefknivestogo.com/nach200grshs.html

I say Rika 5000 as well, and an Idahone rod.

One of my sous chefs has the Rika 5000 awesome stone, really cuts fast for a 5000, big too for the price.
