Mark will hopefully have these by this coming weekend!! 4 210mm Artifex, all with burl wood handles:
The two with the smaller 1/8" pins have red liners, the other two have a larger 1/4" mosaic pin in the middle of the handle. Still gotta clean up the spine, choil on these and do the last coat of finish, but they are almost ready to go!

Yeah, the liners make the handle pop a little more. I think it was Bob Loveless who said that a red liner on a knife handle was like red lipstick on a pretty girl. It does make the handle pop a bit more! The handles with the smaller pins have the liners and the other handles w/o the liner have a 1/4" Mosaic pin in between the 2 smaller pins.
The finish should be ready so I can get the tape off of the blades tomorrow, wash the tape residue off of the blades and ship them out!!

Did you do the Beautiful Handles? Do you have any with your handles on Mark's site?

I've always remembered that line from Loveless, even though it's been over 10 years since I read it! It fits so well though! I got liner material in blue, green, red, yellow, black. I've tried copper lines and they look nice, but add a lot of weight to the handle of the knife, so the next time, I will have to drill out the liners more to save on the weight.
I have these two rehandles on CKTG currently:http://www.chefknivestogo.com/riarcuha.htmlhttp://www.chefknivestogo.com/higy240cuha.html
And this belt knife on there too to see if people would be interested in something like this:http://www.chefknivestogo.com/timjodahuwis.html
The above 4 blades I am hoping should be ready to ship out when I get home from work tomorrow morning. The finish felt dry when I checked them, but it's been stupidly humid the past few days here, so I want to make sure it cured.

hi, I am trying to rehandle my 210mm artifex also and my only reason to to reduce weight. I thought about two approaches. i think the lightest would be to change to wa handle but requires a bit of grinding (Mark, wa handle artifex in the future? I will buy the whole set). the other is just to grind the handle shorter and less height and change to a lighter scale. What do you think is the lightest handle scale material? G10?
