Finally grew the pair to grind this thing out.

Both the damascus steel, and the maple burl handle have been sitting on my bench for a couple of years. When I started making knives, I set these two aside together knowing one day they'd go well together.....and they have.

Blade is 285mm of Devin's reptilian pattern, stainless damascus.

Handle is spalted maple burl, nickel silver, and African blackwood.

Like I said, stunning....you need to leave it in my care....I'm bigger than you, can protect it better.

That looks amazing! How does that work, you can heat treat the damascus first then grind to your desired shape? Does it need to be heat treated again after you're done shaping and sharpening?

And thank g-d you did, as you knocked it out of the park. Knives like that... it's art.
