Yep. I ignore the warnings on the bottle and rub the BKF into knives with my bare fingers. Cleans them right out. This is what my fingers look like after 2 hours of sharpening:

It leaves behind a sort of sickly acidic smell, so I'd follow up with some kind of nicely perfumed soap. Also, do it at your own risk, I don't know if it's kosher or not. But nothing else gets swarf out of my fingers.
